CARROS at ASTRO 2023

CARROS presented an information session titled Radiation Oncology Payment Policy Reform: Past, Present and Future.

The session was chaired by Arya Amini, MD and moderated by Terence Sio, MD, MS and Hina Saeed, MD. Faculty for the session was Anne Hubbard, MBA, Constantine Mantz, MD, and Join Y. Luh, MD, FACR.

CARROS hosted its annual meeting following the information session.

During the meeting updates from the ACR annual meeting were provided and chairs of the CARROS committees were recognized. Additional areas of discussion were membership retention and outreach, as well as outreach to state and regional chapters to develop the CARROS network and Board of Representatives.

CARROS Executive Committee members receiving recognition during the ASTRO annual meeting were introduced. Join Y. Luh, MD, FACR and Laeton Pang, MD, MPH, FACR received Fellowship in ASTRO. Najeeb Mohideen, MD, FACR was awarded ASTRO's Gold Medal.

CARROS-sponsored activities also included a packed reception attended by ACR members and ASTRO attendees, some who learned about CARROS for the first time. CARROS members were well-represented throughout the week in ASTRO sessions and events.
