The CARROS Education Committee shall work to promote education regarding pertinent radiation-related topics relevant to CARROS and its mission. This effort will primarily be through organizing sessions at various conferences, including ASTRO, through webinars, and through other venues as appropriate.

A radiation oncology CME session will take place on Saturday, April 13, 3-5pm, in coordination with the ACR annual meeting in Washington, DC.

Augmenting the Future Workforce in Radiation Oncology: Empowerment through Education & Leadership

Session Description:

Radiation Oncology (RO) is a highly subspecialized field which requires a high level of commitment and coordination among various groups of professionals including the physicians, referral providers, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nursing, and radiation therapy. To augment the future workforce, the current radiation oncologists must continue to build skills and leadership experience so that they are up-to-date with the future challenges that the clinical practice and environment will bring in 2025 and beyond.
