One of the highest honors the ACR can bestow on a member in good standing is recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. ACR Fellows demonstrate a history of service to the College, organized radiology, teaching, and/or research. Only 15 percent of current ACR members have been awarded this honor.
FACR is awarded to diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, medical physicists, and nuclear medicine physicians at the convocation ceremony held during the ACR Annual Meeting.
The honor of Fellow of the American College of Radiology is conferred on members who have been approved and elected by the ACR Board of Chancellors.
Complete information on Fellowship, including the application, can be found on ACR.org.
The CARROS Fellowship Committee is responsible for developing recommendations as to individuals to be nominated by CARROS for Fellowship in the American College of Radiology. Each year the committee reviews the list of eligible members and invites candidates to apply for Fellowship.
The 2025 FACR Application Cycle will open in early 2025. The deadline to submit a completed application for review by the CARROS Fellowship Committee is June 16, 2025.
Reminder: FACR is a distinguished award and a category of membership. Candidates are advised to submit membership dues by March 31, 2025, before submitting an FACR application.
